Getting Started
New Patient Exam The doctors will perform a preliminary clinical examination, looking at the alignment of the teeth and jaw structures. They will determine if there is a need for orthodontic treatment. If so, they will give you a general idea of the problem, treatment needed, and fee involved. There is no charge for this appointment.

Diagnostic records If treatment is indicated, diagnostic records will need to be taken. At that time, impressions for study models, facial and oral photographs, and orthodontic x-rays are taken. The doctors will study these records to confirm their preliminary diagnosis and treatment plans.

Consultation At the consultation, findings from the diagnostic records, specific orthodontic problems, and detailed treatment plan (s) are presented. Anticipated treatment time, financial arrangements, and patient responsibilities will be discussed. Also, at this time, appointments will be made to start the actual treatment. Once treatment begins, routine visits are usually scheduled every 8 weeks for approximately 30 minutes.
